    Default Black Sheep

Anyone know why Rebel Family members appear? I was having an otherwise great start to my Armenian campaign and suddenly my faction hier (with a huge army ofcourse) rebels right outside my capital and totally ruins my good start :(

I sent a diplomat and he wouldent even talk to him, not even for a bribe.

There didnt seem to be any warning signs, no corruption, rioting, anything

    strange...

sounds like the same kind of thing like the messages I kept getting as julii when it said that my army kept getting bribed - for the life of me I couldn't figure out which army, where, or why...

Bribery is often a cause, and early-game (as in very early, like 270-260) it seems to happen more often than later. I do wish there were more feedback on what exactly was happening with those events, they are confusing.

In Armenia you should expect pretty much everyone in your family to rebel, plot assassination or be poisoned. It's probably the mosthistorical bit of the game i've heard about so far. Armenia made Pontus look like the Waltons.

Pontus is bad too? I just started a campaign with them...

This rebellion is out of my hands though eh? Adds depth to the game though, just wish I knew what it was when it happened. Don't think it was a diplomat unless there was an invisable one around my carefully watched capital.

Are you sure he was a faction heir? Heirs and leaders have no reason to rebel, and cannot be bribed into doing so. Then again, if you've been modding the game to play as the Armenians, weird bugs may crop up from time to time... You might want to try posting this over at official support forum and see if anyone else has seen this happen.

Gentlemen should exercise caution and wear stout-sided boots when using the Fintry-Kyle Escape Apparatus. Ladies, children, servants and those of a nervous disposition should be strongly encouraged to seek other means of hurried egress.
