    Default Video animations problem

Please point me in the right direction if I'm posting this technical issue in the wrong place.

I just installed RTW on my computer, and have been having some problems w/ the movies and videos in it. The game otherwise plays smoothly on my system (both battles and campaign map, no lag).

However, the red and black introductory screen w/ the animations, the prologue cut scenes, and that little rotating picture of the forum when you click on the senate all cause my system to have a massive drop in frame rate.

I am playing it on a Pentium 4 2 Ghz machine w/ 768 RAM and a GeForce 4 MX w/ 56MB RAM graphics card. I have about 60 GBs of hard drive space left on my computer.

Any idea what could be causing this? I play DVDs and other video game cut scenes very well (ex. Halo, Far Cry, Neverwinter Nights, etc.).

    SirGrotius,

The apothecary is the best place to post this sort of request - full of helpful clever chaps mostly. They should be able to sort you out.

their 1st question will be "have you updated all your drivers". So suggest you update all critical drivers 1st and then if you still have a problem ask for some help.

    Hope you get things working!
