anybody know what RomeShell is?? I accidentally pressed `(~) key, the one next to 1, below Esc, and a screen pop up. it looks like a windows command prompt and it say Welcome to RomeShell. is this a cheat screen?

Don't know specifically... the tilde (~) is the key most commonly used for debug commands (and hence "cheat codes"). Have you tried typing anything in?

Yes this is the console window.

I haven't seen much in the way of official documentation about it, except if you preorder the game you get a preview DVD with movies etc. Also on the preview is a list of cheat codes to type into the console window. The only one I can remember of the top of my head is "oliphant" (sp?), which makes elephants bigger.

When I get home tonight I may post the other cheat codes if people are interested; I'm sure they have already been posted elsewhere.

The rome shell is where you cheat if you type "add_money 20000" into the rome shell it will add 20000 denari to your coffers, but it only works once per game per save game.
