    Default European Friends in arms?

In the massive hubbub of the game release in North America, I've lost track of several folks around here whose insights I value, and who live in Europe and elsewhere, and are still waiting (patiently?) for the game.

Has anyone outside N.A. got the game yet?

I have been duely informed by my local games shop that with a bit of luck I will be the proud owner of RTW tomorrow. However, as luck will have it, I probably will have to wait 'till Thursday...

Got my RTW (US-version) yesterday from my favorite german online shop. They got it on monday and so I recieved it yesterday.
Unfortunately I couldn't play it. Installed it and then had to go shopping with my gf. I' now at work but have the manual to help me over the time until I get home.

My friend FedExed it to me along with some other stuff I ordered like an dirt cheap MP3 player. So I play the game for a day now. Wooohoo, is all I got. there is some negatve comments, like units are too fast and this and that, but I seriously am so impressed with the quality of it.

On a side note - some 10 years ago, may be more, I played a PC Game, called 'CENTURION', that ran from a floppy. It was so cool at the time, had legions, consular armies, 'looked' 3D, had gladiotor games, Naval combat (for real, where you had to fire at ships!), armies had formations, a strong or weak general, and diplomacy which awas pretty straightforard but worked. It was great! I was waiting for something as that game on a modern scale for a long time. Now that it's out, I'm so happy. If anyone remembers that game, please mention it, as I have rarely seen anyone knowing about it and it was fantastic imho.

I remember Centurion. My mate had it on the Amiga. Battles were fun, with the command radius of your general and so on. Chariots and gladiators were pretty poor though. I have a feeling Rome is going to wee on it from a huge height.

Ah well, only two days to go. Booked Friday off work so I can have a good long go on it. I can't wait

Ha, good plan. Much better than what I did, which was expect to work and have some play time in the evening. Ended up getting 3 hours of sleep the day (night) it came out.

Exciting times! Thanks for filling me in all. It'll be great to have everyone else onboard and playing, it's an amazing game to share.

I ordered from a shop called GAME, you've probably heard of it if your in the UK. And it gets better, because the release date was pushed back they sent me a free game to keep me happy until RTW arrived.

I got some game called 'Armed & Dangerous', its nothing special just a basic shoot em up really. Only played it once, will probably trade it in for something better or money off.
