yes true it takes the mistery but i like seeing all the factions laid out and who is attacking who. i play some games with it off some on.

OMG, don't use it. When i used the cheat, it showed the whole map, and everything the AI did every turn!!! It took over 5 minutes to get to my turn. so i turned it off.

btw, the cheat is, during the campigne map, press ~, then type toggle_fow!

This is definitely more of a "cheat" now since trading maps is part of diplomacy (unlike the "war: yes/no" diplomacy of the first two games).
