    i want to attack the senate/brutii/scipii as the julii

    but the people dont like me enough

    any pointers?

    throw games. Arenas, Colisseums and the such make people like you more. You can have Yearly, Monthly, or even Daily Games (but they'll drain the hell out of your treasury, of course - so go for it only when you're stinking rich).
    Therapy helps, but screaming obscenities is cheaper.

    Yearly doesn't cost anything. Monthly and daily costs more but has a corresponding increase in public order as well.

    It's the same for races.
