RTW Sound Problem

System: Pentium 4 3.2 Ghz 512 MB Ram x 2, ATI Radeon 9200 256MB, Sound Blaster Live 5.1 Windows XP SP2

I had a CTD while entering a 3D battle while in EAX 2 sound mode probably due to high grassland res taking too much RAM.

Anyway, after that my sound outside the game is REVERBERATED in a huge way as is the Miles 2D sound in game. In game EAX 2D sound is good. I can't get my outside game sound back to normal.

How do I get my PC sound back to the way it was without this big reverberation? It sound likes its in a stadium or a stairwell.

Hi Ivar the Terrible, welcome to the Org.

SB Live 5.1 gets many reports of resetting itself to 2-speaker mode on its own, often causing "echo" and other glitches.

Does the Reverb-effect you cite also occur when you use headphones?

Yeah, its the same with or without headphones. I haven't found a way to reset it.

I found my solution. I had to reinstall my drivers. Works fine now.
