Rome total war game guide

I'm glad that I'm not the only one that is saying the same thing about the "Prima official game guide". Buy it if you really want to but it is a total waste of money.

Yep, I usually wait for the guys here at the Org to write one. It's far far better and will actually give you formations. Check the M:TW guides here to see what I mean. Best of all it's free

Yeah, I too await the great guides that spring up around here for R:TW.

And once you've mastered the game, they are handy to give to friends that are new players, to set them on the right tracks.

I agree that the prima guides are usually REALLY bad. Of the other forums i frequent, the only guide that is discribed as good is the Diablo 2 guide, and that was released a long time ago. But the new guides, such as the ones for Homeworld 2 or even MTW, are described as far less useful than a page of the forums :)
