How Mod-able?

Just wonder if any of you modding guru's out there have gadge on the ability that RTW offers to modding , I had a mod that I wanted to do for MTW , but I delayed it in the hope that RTW would offer more leway and options , any word on that?

so is it fair to say that people will be able to do more with RTW then with MTW? Cause some of the mods on MTW were amazing taking all things into consideration. Im just curious if Ideas will be able to be expanded do to more flexibility RTW might have to offer.

Well, i guess you could say that the new engine is a double edged sword (or gladius

). First, the new engine is more flexible than the old one. You can do alot more with Rome than you could with Medieval.

But, with this new flexibility comes new problems. With Rome, it takes alot more work to make a quality mod than it did w/ Medieval. There is more to mod.

I would think you would be seeing fewer mods with rome than with medieval, but I suppose the quality and fun factor will be just as high as with the old engine.

Holy crap. I can't believe how good the stuff the modder have been producing is. It's simply amazing.

The game has been out less than 3 weeks and we're already seeing Orcs and Gondorian Infantry?!?

Not that the Roman period is bad but medieval is so much more interesting and fun...

Well, the greatest most famous battles and wars where during the Ancient era. I thing that Total War series are home now.

Is there any Spartan mod? You know someone made Spartans look like heavy hoplites in red colours??

I don't find it moddable at all. It's a real pain in the butt, and any progress is due to other members of the community, not CA.

It looks like BKB is working on one. You can see some of his progress here and here.

Even better, it sounds like the staff of CA is returning from vacation, so some official help might be on the way. I can't wait to see what some of these guys will produce!

The only reason I ask is I had a business proposal that I submitted a while ago but abandoned do to the fact I heard RTW was going to be easier to MOD and with more options. So if this is the case then If any modders are intrested in earning some money let me know cause Id really like to MOD somthing up. Atleast be aware of my options and limitations to see if its realisitc.
