    Default Marius: Before & After

    Is there a file/website/techtree in which I can view which troop types are available before and after the Marian Reforms?

    The Roman units are all displayed on the printed tech tree which came with the game. They are tagged PM and AM for before and after Marius.

    Now to add a question of my own: is there anywhere I can see the non-Roman tech trees outside the game yet? It's a pain having to start campaigns just to see what a faction can do in terms of buildings and unit availability.

    Is it possible to enter debug mode just like in MTW? Then, you'd be able to change factions whenever you liked.

    Only 5 units remain the same pre and post Marius.
    Town watch
    Cavalry auxilia
    Legionary cavalry
    Arcani
    Gladiator units
    Not counting special units like pigs and dogs or artillery. Also by the time you can build praetorian units you'll have triggered the marian reforms so they don't count either. Another note the first cohort units are bascially the same as the early and regular legionary cohort except for 2 things the morale boosting eagle and size its in the 122 or 242 size range. For a side by side comparison.
    Velites=Light auxilia
    Hastati= Auxilia spearmen
    Princepes=Early legionary cohort
    Triarii=Legionary cohort
    Equites=Roman cavalry
    Roman archers=Archer auxilia
    If you havin' skyrim problems I feel bad for you son.. I dodged 99 arrows but my knee took one.

    Thanks! That was exactly what I was looking for.

    Just want to say that i think it should be able to upgrade your old troops to marius style troops. Since it not possible to retrain old troops after marius reform. I dont wanna loose my most experienced troops just because they can't get fresh recruits into the ranks.
