Default Old shift button function from MTW in RTW

Back in MTW you could hit the shift button to get you provinces to light up and give you an idea of how happy or unhappy they were with a bright green, yellow, or red colour. When you were steaming towards a campaign's end you could draw a great sense of achievement by just hitting the shift button and seeing your massive empire light up in green. There was also a version for sea areas ("V", I think).

Now my question is this, is there any equivalent to this function in Rome Total War, as it can be quite difficult to spot you borders?

I don't find the mini-map as detailed as I would like.

    I don't think so.
They've replaced the shift function with the face icons in each city's display label (except now we have blue in addition to red, yellow and green).
Seas are completely different now, without discreet sea provinces that factions can control.
