    Default Question about Reinforcements

I know that when your reinforcements do not have a general you can control them. But exactly how? I had a army of reinforcements without a General and i could not control them. I tried clicking them but nothing happens. What do i have to do?

One unit was and one wasn't. But i waited for the length of the battle. I kept going back to them. It was during a siege. So as my onagers were blasting the walls they had plenty of time to get there. They just stood there.

With reenforcements it's a little odd.

If you go into battle with say, your general alone and a full stack of units seperate, but close enough to be in the battle, then they will come on to fill any empty unit slots (up to 20 in total) as soon as possible. If you attack with one unit, and your general and 19 others is close by, then the AI will control all except your one units.

If niether stack has a general, then i'm not sure, sometimes they come as reenforcements, sometimes the AI gets them.

If you were able to control them then their unit card (pic at the bottom) would be greyed out as they march onto the field, then would go normal when they arrived. If the AI gets them no unit card would appear and you don't get control at all.
I was trying to find some help in the ancient military journals of General Tacticus, who's intelligent campaigning had been so successful that he'd lent his very name to the detailed prosecution of martial endeavour, and had actually found a section headed "What To Do If One Army Occupies A Well-Fortified And Superior Ground And The Other Does Not", but since the first sentence read "Endeavour to be the one inside" I'd rather lost heart.

Umm, you have to move them yourself (unless there was a family member in the army, then it's AI controlled). I've played a battle where my reinforcements were coming from a corner of the map and the units further back couldn't enter the b/c the earlier units were blocking their entrance.
