    Question Question again m8s =)

Well, now I have a question about the 'Provincial Title'.
I obviosly start with one in my first province, and I obviosly get one after I've captured a new province. But I've just started a campgain, and here's the title i started with that I can give away to a general:

Not knowing what I was supposed to to with it, I tried to drop it of on the army in the castle, and suddenly I got myself an Earl:

    Press here

Now after my understanding, I can give the 'PT' to any kind of army, even the pesants, is this true ?
This title here I obviosly gave to a unit of Vikings, was this smart ?
Should I wait with giving the 'PT' away ?
Some tips about the 'PT' would be nice guys, I couldn't find anything about it in the guide I read.

yes, each province comes with a PT, as you call it ;)
basically, it will just give bonuses to the fellas you assign them to: loyalty, acumen, dread, and command stars.
In principle, you should assign PT's as soon as you get them, with a few exceptions:
    - in the beginning, when you really don't have anybody but crappy worthless peasants to give them to; you can wait for a few turns until you get some hopefully better units.
    - when you're waiting for a hero to pop up.

But of course, you can always assign them straight ahead, and them use a diplomat to remove them from the holders. Of course, you have to take into account that this will incur some loyalty hit to them, but most of the time it's okay.

It also depends a lot on the kind of PT you're assigning. Most of the time, you wanna give titles to units that have the most acumen, so that you can make more money.
Some of the time, you wanna give em to guys with a lot of dread - this goes especially for the more rebellious provinces in the game, such as Lithuania, Livonia, Portugal, Scotland. And for those few precious provinces that give you PT's with command stars, you probably wanna give them to generals who already have a few stars of their own, to make them even better.

Each faction has its own office (Chancellor, Earl, etc) which is a unique title, and can be assigned to a unit in addition to a regular PT.
There are other buildings in the game that give you titles: Admiralty, Constable's Palace, and Marshal's Palace. These can also go in addition to a regular PT on the same guy.

So, basically, most PT's you just give to whomever has a lot of acumen; they can be peasants just fine, you're probably just gonna keep them in garrisons anyway, which is even better 'cause they won't get killed in battle, losing you precious money with a loss of a high-acumen governor. The ones with command stars, however, you will probably want to give to good generals, front-line units, and most likely to cavalry (convenient from various reasons) - or heroes.

There is much more to it, but this should cover the basics, for now.
Feel free to ask around if you have other issues.

Therapy helps, but screaming obscenities is cheaper.

Thanks Blodrast, excellent description after my opinion.
So since my Earl now only has 1 Command and 1 Acumen I should wait a few turns ?

About the ''skills''.... I know what all the "skills" are good for, but is it good to have much or little of Piety ?

About alliances... In 1088 a guy from Germany has moved up, it's a princess. I right click on her and it says that she comes to me about an offer about Alliance between my country and Germany. But in 1089 she goes back to Germany, and it didn't pop up any question about Alliance. What's up with that ??

And where can I search in this forum? Just so I don't risk the chance of dobbel-posting something that's been brought up before. I really want to be promoted you know ~P

I would never assign a title to the first unit I came across. In this case, it all depends a bit on what is available. The Danes need money quick and Denmark has a decent income, so I suggest scanning all your units for the one with the best acumen and then assign the title to that unit (bear in mind that princes and Kings cannot bear titles). The command star is relatively unimportant, since at this stage the economy is your foremost concern and your royal family are your best generals.

is it good to have much or little of Piety?
Piety influences province happiness. If your province has high zeal, it will become unhappy when governed by an low piety governor. If it has low zeal, a fanatic governor will probably do more harm than good. Then again, high zeal provinces give piety bonuses (in the form of V&V's) to your governors. In the opening stage of the game, zeal is relatively unimportant, but as soon as the crusades start going (the Danes cannot crusade, but your opponents can) or using inquisitors, it becomes important.

No idea. Perhaps the Germans accepted an alliance from another faction? The diplomacy is not the best part of the game, because the AI quite often acts like an idiot.

Junior patrons are restricted from searching because the number of search requests brought the forum down. As soon as you are promoted to senior patron a search button will appear on the forum bar. As for promotion, it will come soon enough, as long as you stay friendly and helpful and keep posting.

One more thing.. I have 4 sons/princes. And one of them has low loyalty, he has like 3 loyalty banners or something. Should I worry about low loyalty people or what ??

And I've bild a border fort. One time a priest or something came into my province, and I right clicked him. It stood: spying.
What can I do with sneaky guys like that ?

How can I send a princess to another country ? I have 3 daughters and they are rottning away. I tryed to go to France, but she couldn't go all the way, when I tryed to drop her on a province she was like beamed back to Denmark.
