    Default Hello I'm new

Have one question. how do I improve my trade?. Been playing as Brutii, and I'm tired of building farms and roads.

Upgrades to your ports increase trade. That's basically it.

    Trade agreements certainly help.

The Greek cities are better than Britain for money.

If you can, and you really want to earn some cash, go for the east coast of the Mediterranean, and maybe Egypt if you've got the manpower. That's where the real money is.

Yeah, the East and the Med. coast is where all the money is. Don't forget to always enslave the population of the cities you conquer, until ONE of your cities reaches the magic 24,000-- then start slaughtering every city you conquer.

    And why is that?

I keep having trouble with revolting cities... does that tactic help? If so, the Julii are in for a surprise when I get back to my Egypt campaign.

    Hi everyone, first post!

Enslaving really needs to stop when your few core cities grow very large. After that, it just leads to excess population which, in turn, leads to squalor. If you exterminate, you take steps to keep the (potentially) rebellious natives under control, and net yourself more denari.

And don't build farm improvements unless you absolutely need. Why? Farms increase growth, which leads to more people, who increase squalor to uncontrollable levels... well, you get the idea

Exterminate (once cities too large) against anyone EXCEPT other romans. They don't care who rules them.
