    Default Dilemma

    Dilemma

You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night,
when you pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for the bus:

    1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.

    2. An old friend who once saved your life.

    3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing there only can be one passenger in your car?

    The perfect partner.

You friend will understand and old ladies look as if they are about to die even when they aren't really.

Easy let the friend take the car and drive the old woman to the hospital, this leaves you alone with the perfect partner for a nice conversation followed by a date.

That sounds good, but I would probably pick the old lady if I was forced to choose one.

And if your friend don't have a drivers licence?
We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?

lol the alternative solution is great

the old lady looks like she's going to die but if she's old and looks like shes about to die she probably hasn't got much time left anyway whereas me the friend and the girl all have years left

ok friend and perfect partner.... aha! i would stop and order a taxi for the old woman and friend and give them the money for it and then drive off with my perfect partner :D

    1. I don´t own a car and if I would, I would own one that has more than 2 places.
    2. Old ladies can use the bus without paying plus she wouldn´t like the music I´m playing in my car if I had one.
    3. The perfect partner I´ve been dreaming about I cannot recognize from seeing. I can hardly spot a woman and say "hey, that´s the partner I ever wanted." If I had a car I would drive by attractive women waiting for the bus who could be the perfect partner every day. I can hardly transport them all.

Thus, it´s clearly taking the old friend with me.

I would pick up the hot chick, any friend of mine that takes the bus is excessively environmentally concious. The old lady can understand why she's going in the trunk.

    Excellent points Saturnus

This was allegedly used as part of a job application.

You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first; or you could take the old
friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.

The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer. He simply answered: "I
would give the car keys to my old friend and let him take the old lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams."

Better solution. Yoiur friend drives the car and takes the old lady to the hospital. all in the meanwhile you and your perfect partner are shagging in the trunk
