Thread: Unrest ?

  1. #1

    Default Unrest ?

I've had some trouble with unrest lately.
There is the usual unrest, when you capture a city. Ok, this one fades in time, about 5 % a turn.
There is the unrest from bad vices of your governor. Ok, remove the governor, and that's settled.

But there is also several cities that have unrest which just never go away.
Jerusalem comes to mind. I've a huge garrison, I've annihilated the cultural differences, but there is still a steady and unmovable 15 % unrest. Since 40 years.

There is also other cities like that. Is there a way to remove this unrest ? Why is it here ?
If violence didn't solve your problem... well, you just haven't been violent enough.

Don't know for sure, but there where some provinces in MTW which just had worse loyalty and were more likely to revolt... Maybe there is something like that in place???

unrest can be caused by rebels wandering around in your teritory. This is why you need watchtowers and enforcer armies.
I was trying to find some help in the ancient military journals of General Tacticus, who's intelligent campaigning had been so successful that he'd lent his very name to the detailed prosecution of martial endeavour, and had actually found a section headed "What To Do If One Army Occupies A Well-Fortified And Superior Ground And The Other Does Not", but since the first sentence read "Endeavour to be the one inside" I'd rather lost heart.
