Try this to turn off battle timer. It worked for me. Just before starting a new campaign go into the historical battle menu, and back out. Then start your campaign.

Have a look at this thread, over at the TWC. It concerns the TiLiN - Time Limit Negator.

This works for me too... But not much help in a existing campaign though...Originally Posted by Puzz3D
Also note that if you have the battle timer off and you try sallying out during a seige you do not have to win or lose to end the battle... Do lots of damage, get your troops back in the town again and hit escape and exit battle... Battle will be declared a draw and the seige will continue, minus whatever damage your sally did...![]()
I downloaded the Time Limit Negator but it doesn't seem to work. How do you make it work?![]()
Did you read the readme? I've not used it, but many people are reporting that it works well.Originally Posted by hundurinn
BTW, it's also integrated in RomeSAGE, a more flexible program. Read about/get it here.

Are you using the patch, or the Total Realism Mod? Some one else had a problem with Time Limit Negator not working, nor RomeSAGE (which does the same thing). I've just fixed RomeSAGE so it works for this other person, so hopefully it will work for you too. If not, you can send me your original .sav file, and I'll have a look at it. Use the email address in the readme.txt file in the RomeSAGE.zip.Originally Posted by hundurinn

In my Parthian campaign, I don't recall any battle where there was a battle timer. In my Julii game, it played a huge role. I don't know what I did. I did go to custom battle many times to check unit stats before starting the campaign but I don't think I went into historical battle before starting the campaign.
