Heard about it this morning in the news.

Christopher Reeve managed in real life to really outshine the movie character he played

    May he rest in peace

I agree a sad loss. He showed great courage and determination after his riding accident, an example to us all.

He even made a film afterwards (remake of rear window)

I also just heard about it this morning, he was an incredible man, may he rest in peace.

Yes, it was quite a shock and a very sad thing to hear. He seemed like a truly good and very likable person. He was very inspiring too. Rest in peace Mr. Reeve.

I didn't think much of him at first, during his Superman days, but he won me over later in his interviews and subsequent movie roles. A gentle, intelligent man. He survived the horse accident, which allowed us to get to know him even better. I appreciate that.

How annoying must it be for Christpher Reeve to be named "Superman" in all the obits (including this one).
Nope - no sig what so ever.

Well excuse me!!! F-U. He was a millionaire because of the "Superman" gig and it kept him alive all these years when most in his condition would have died a long time ago. So if it was annoying, it must not have annoyed him much since he used his fame and riches to promote his causes and kept him alive. Its as annoying as a f###wit complaining about a thread and not really contributing anything to it except a snide stupid remark. Have a good day....

    Dave,
That tears it. After all the chances you have been given to reform your hostile ways, even when unprovoked you act like a total jackass. You are out of here, if I have any say in the matter.

Magraev, thank you for your mature response and understanding.

Dave, I can see why you took offense, but I don't think he meant it as an attack. I don't think Magraev's remark needed to be said about someone posting a sincere reflection of the deceased.

By the way, how did you and I, of all people, end up with the same avatar? I have been trying to find an unused avatar, but I'm not having much luck. This is a good one, isn't it?

I love this avatar, we just have good taste I guess!!! You know, I think you're right Tachi, I just took offense since I'm kind of on the defense lately.
So Magraev, I'm sorry for jumping on you like that. I'm an ass hole in case you didn't notice...

Tachi, I think every avatar is taken. I don't know if there is a way to import a special avatar like how it could be done in the past (I seem to remember people having custome avatars, but I could be wrong.)

One more thing about Reeve. He seemed like he had the strength to accept death well. It always makes it a little easier when this happens. That kind of acceptance helped soften George Harrison's death.

I'll have to adopt a really ugly avatar if I want to be original. Although several of the ugliest ones have already been claimed. Maybe I'll use a woman.
