.org downtime

not sure if this is the right place but it can be moved if im wrong

the .org seems to go down roughly every day is this a regular downtime to update things or are there problems that crop up semi-regularly ?

Every day? May be possible, I've experienced a few downntimes too. I mailed the host about it, they may know more.

well it not might be every day recently it has been fairly frequently (i have been using the .org alot more recently though) but its not connected to .org. quick answer, thanks.

Tosa, let us know what you hear from the host. It has been daily lately, and a couple have been over 18 hours.

Hello quid,

I saw that one. There were two: it crashed, came up after some 10-15 minutes, ran for a while and crashed again. Total downtime was about a full hour I guess. Not nice :(

I saw one last week that it took the whole day for me to be able to get in.

8 hours or so, and the messegases that it said are on my "I been getting these..." thread here in the watchtower.

The host replied and will take some actions. The database will likely be moved to another server. This move will result in a downtime.

From experience: it will be done while I'm sleeping or at least without prior notice and will take an hour or two. The only advice I can give: do you have some large post to make, write it on your PC and copy/paste the text into the forum.
