Default Hello Everyone. My name is Shonen

My name is Shonen. I have been playing Stw for about two years now. But I had no idea that there was such a massive online community.
I have studied Kendo for nearly 10 years now. And for those who don't know, Kendo is the way of the Japanese sword...the Way of the samurai.
But long before I found this came I became somewhat of an novice war historian, concentrating mainly on the sengenko period in japan. This was ideed, what led me to kendo and the ways of old. The ways of honor and the way of the warrior.
I consider myself to be quite skilled in the ways of war and have achieved at least some level of mastery in stw.
However, I am constantly impressed by the level to which the members of this forum in particular have refined the playing of this beautiful game.
I believe I have much to offer to you, but more importantly, I believe you all have even more to offer me.
    With all respect,
    Shonen

Welcome Shonen, I had the same experience as you and I feel somewhat cheated that now that I've discovered the .org STW has become something of a sideshow to MTW and of course RTW. Still, it's good to meet a new STW comrade-in-arms.

STW isn't dead, it doesn't even smell funny. If you want to play MP I'm sure TosaInu will be eager to show you the ropes. If you want to exchange views or experiences, feel free. Just don't expect any massive or immediate reaction to your posts as in the Colloseum. It's been pretty quiet here lately.

However, there will always be a few of us old STW buffs lurking here and eager to read your stuff and reply. Stay cool.

    Greetings Shonen.

I wouldent call myself an STW buff but STW has always been my favorite in the series, even now in the post-RTW era :)

I'm hoping some form of an STW inspired game will be resurrected either through an RTW mod or by CA themselves at some point in the future!
