I've been having trouble with changing faction affiliation in Historic battles. I've worked out how to edit the BDF and ADF files with a text editor, and have been able to change the TGA and BIF files to get the shields that I want on the main battle flags, but individual units still display the faction that they are associated with. E.g. the Flemish at the Hastings battle still display Almohad shields, even though I have given them a Flemish battle flag, because their colour scheme/faction affiliation is Almohad.
Is there a line in one of the files that determines their faction affiliation, and if so where is it?
I'm also having difficulty getting unit types from mods into historical battles. Is there something I have to do to allow them to be recognised?

Thanks for any assistance in helping with this, I've almost got some of my historic battles sorted out- I just need to iron out the details.
