is there more shogun

i have the full sgogun mini series and not the 2 hour crap film'but even the mini series did not do the book justice.

the book had so much more and my favourite not seen bit was the part where mariko tries to leave osaka castle and browns fight grays and they keep getting replaced and replaced for ages...

anyway what i'm asking is does anyone know if there was more footage shot than was seen in the mini series?
how many parts were cut out if any?

did you know dune the movie was over 5 hours long before it went to the chopping board!!!

AHA! I think you're right. Well, I saw a listing for a rather EXPENSIVE collection of SHOGUN the entire series here:
