    Question Time in RTW

Hey, I dont know if this has been adressed or not, but is there a way to turn the timer off in RTW, or at least make it so it gives you more time? I know it was possible in MTW. The times to fight sieges in RTW are ridiculously short. I was fighting a siege against the Brutii. I attacked them because there was another huge army that would be there next turn and i didnt want to be caught between the two. So i attacked, both our armies had about 1000 men in each. The timer showed only 30 mins. By the time I destroyed the gate and took the walls i only had 3 minutes left. I rushed my calvary through, killed about 200 enemies, but didnt make it to the city square in time (my unites got confused where to go and it was a very windy path to the city square). So i lost, even thought the enemy only had about 50 men left, i still lost because of the stupid timer.

Is there any way to turn off the timer, or am i just going to have to learn to fight sieges extremely fast?

There is a "no timer" utility out there, but there is another way that someone discovered: Go into a historical battle, then exit the battle. Now start a new campaign. You will not have the timer for the entire campaign!

I've found that you only have to go into the historical battle menu and back out again to get no time limit.

Thanks for the info. I will try going into the historical campaign and then backing out. But would that require starting a new campaign. I am almost finsihed with my current Roman campaign, and i dont really want to do that. Someone mentioned a utility that would turn off the timer. Does anyone know where to find it?

    Thanks in advance

In some of the big cities it can take a very long time, even once you have beaten the units on the walls. You often have to rest your troops before you hit fresh units in the plaza. And it is often a very long march there through a bit of a maze. The march alone can take 5 minutes--since routed AI units will keep regrouping in the plaza and running back out to attack you along the march. I've beaten the timer by a few secs before...and lost a lot of men needlessly in a mad rush to beat the silly timer.
