    Default Admiral's command star?

Hi guys.I'm playing the Carthage and I had several naval battles with the Scipii.I notice that some of their fleets have command star (about two or three) but I cant get one.I have one fleet which won five or more battles but it doesnt gain any command stars. Any idea? One last thing I want to ask: in siege battle can I use onagers or balista against siege towers? Those big guys dont seem good to me.

My first game with the Brutii I basically had one fleet in the Eastern Med. that was totally dominant.. there must have been 50 naval battles. I made sure to keep the same Admiral when merging fleets (so that hopefully he would get a command star) and no luck.

Last night, I start a Julii game, first naval battle.. I get a command star. I do not understand it but it happens.

And as far as attacking siege towers: It is much easier to use flaming arrows on the siege engines, sappers, and rams. I have not been able to put siege equipment on the walls (is it possible in later stages of wall development?) and it is really hard to aim for the towers when you can only place your siege equipment in certain parts of the city (roads, small squares).

The only command stars my entire Julii navy managed to get was through retinue members, one for 'Shipwright' and two for 'navigator'.

They were also not exchangable, and to be frank didn't seem to make that much difference. The shipwright was got twice, seemingly random as one wasn't even in a fight that season, and navigator was on my oldest fleet, but might also be random.
I was trying to find some help in the ancient military journals of General Tacticus, who's intelligent campaigning had been so successful that he'd lent his very name to the detailed prosecution of martial endeavour, and had actually found a section headed "What To Do If One Army Occupies A Well-Fortified And Superior Ground And The Other Does Not", but since the first sentence read "Endeavour to be the one inside" I'd rather lost heart.

Playing as Carthage i have only one fleet with a 3 star Admiral. Before him i had none from the campaigns start despite regularly kicking the Romans around the med. This is my first rated Admiral in 100 years of campaign time.

I've fought a lot of sea battles, most of my ships are silver chevroned and quite a few are triple gold chevron. I've only ever gotten two off 1 star retinue members. Never an admiral with a command rating, I not sure that such a thing is possible.

Thanks for your information.I dont know why CA made such a thing. Is this a bug or there is something about naval combat that we dont know?
I have heard a captain can become family member if he is victorious in battles. Is that true? One of my captains won in 5 battles, but he is still a captain, nothing more .(I auto resolve all of his battles)
