Default Question from somebody who is computer-challenged

I know you can do this, but I can't remember how. I need to somehow get my PC to give me the "list" of all it's specs (RAM, processor capacity, Video card, etc...) so I can post it here and have somebody who is more savvy than me tell me if I can run RTW or not. Anybody know where I get the "List?"

I am using XP, if it matters.

    Thanks.

The easist thing to do is to go to control panel -> System. There it'll show your computer speed, chip type, and RAM (bottom right corner).

To find your video card then go to Hardware (in "system properties", the window you're already looking at), device manager, and click on the + sign next to "display adapter". It should tell you your video card.

A very good way to do it

    Mycomputer/C:/Programfiles/DirectX/setup/DxDiag

Just go to the startmenu, click "run" and type "dxdiag" and press "enter". It will run dxdiag without you having to search for the file.

Unhappy Re: Question from somebody who is computer-challenged

Hmm. 192 megs of RAM? And you don't find load times long? I dunno, but I wouldn't want to be playing this game with anything less then 512 MB of RAM. I've got an AMD Athlon XP 3200+ with 1 GB of DDR 400 and a Geforce 6800 GT and I still find loading times slow, and the game chunks up pretty nicely at 1024x768 at all high details when large numbers of units are displayed on screen.

You say you IT-Fu is not strong, but if you are up for it I would really recomend blowing a few quid (bucks?) on get up to 512MB of RAM at least, it would be well worth it for just about anything you want to do on the PC anyway....

The Pharao orders you to buy at least another 256 RAM.

Dude, if you have the money for a ninja system great, but there is loads of life left in your machine with some more memory and a Gfx card update...
