Unhappy I cant disable onboard graphics!!!

*Gnashes teeth* Gah! My bios supposedly doesnt allow for the onboard intel graphics to be disabled. If I install another graphics card it will only be allowed as a secondary display. Is there a way to play Rome using a secondary display? I just cant imagine trying to play it on 32mb sis onboard graphics

I am unable to post in the apocethary since the cataclysm occurred.

My bios also has no option to disable onboard graphics, however you can disable it by going through the control panel.Click on system/hardware/device manager/display adaptors. From there you can disable your onboard so long as youve got a pci/agp card installed. One thing to bear in mind, when I first disabled my onboard it didnt actually get disabled which caused problems with my desktop. So I would advise to disable then reboot then check and disable again if neccessary until it actually reads as disabled.Hope this helps.

Thx Sid! I also did some more searching and found at the manufacter's site that If I just put in an AGP card I dont have to disable it in the bios...I dont know why they put that warning about there being no way to disable the onboard???? Got me freaked out for nothing...must play Rome soon!!! lol!
