In the desc_strat file there are various behaviors that you can set the AI players to (eg. fortified mao). I've noticed that these make a big difference in how the AI plays and builds both tactically (in terms of units available) and strategic in terms of expansion. Smith and Henry for example are more money generators whereas Genghis and Napoleun are more expansionist. These strategies make a definate difference in the game.
In one of my games I set the Dacians as trader smith and the dacians only moderately expanded and did a lot of allying. As balanced Genghis the Dacians went on a conquest spree and conquered right up to Rome's doorstep. Impressive..
What are some of the differences? Spartan (TWCenter) did a lot of research but there are a lot of unexplained areas. What is the difference between Henry and Smith? What does confortable do?
Anyone?
