Good point, Colo - I was thinking of "realism" in the sense of, many folks would readily abuse a very easy Undo system, including myself, sigh. But there's also that other bent to realism, as you say, LOL.
Really what it should do is allow one to see pathing vs. terrain - and then stop the army any time it unexpectedly can't do pathing vs. terrain. Namely, when you run into a blocking army.
I just had an enemy general I had bribed to my side who was half a province behind enemy lines, do a beeline straight away from my lines when I stupidly right-clicked for him to "come to daddy" (instead of testing every square of the path) due to enemies I couldn't see that were between me and him. Then, way back in enemy country, he started getting jumped. Sigh. So far he's been able to retreat to safety (fingers crossed).![]()
