RTW: Multiplayer - Best Faction?

My friends and I played LAN multiplayer games on MTW and are about to start with RTW. I was just wondering what everyone thinks the best faction is for this type of game? Also does anyone have any good tips for fighting non-siege type battles. When playing the computer it always seems to use its cavalry to flank you and it also seems to overload one side of its army. Has anyone else noticed this and is it a good ploy?

Personally I think the Selucids are the best faction for MP, they have the best all round selection.

Good Phalanx (Silver Shield)
Good Cavalry (Cataphracts)
Missiles (Archers + Peltasts)
Shock (War Elephants + Chariots)

IMO no other faction come match this

I think both the Romans and Carthage are the best factions. In case of Romans, I'd choose Scipii, though there is no difference, except for the gladiators.

Carthage has the best cavalry (Sacred Band Cavalry) and spearman (Sacred Band) in addition to Elephants.

Romans simply excel in every area, good archers, excellent infantry and superb cavalry.

I have found the Greek Cities to the best so far.
The Spartan Hoplites seem to be a rock under which armies are crushed .
I have wiped out all of the Romans with them. Need good support units to watch the flanks and to flank. Once engaged the Spartans are a killing machine.

the Egyptians or the Germans can catch the unwary out-they got some excellent units.
I like the Seleucids for choice/balance, Romans are solid and Carthage can let you fight like Alex..lol.
