    I used it when I lost map that came with game, only get so much info each campaign though. Tooks ages to crawl around POntus etc...

    Map information is nice to sell to other factions. If you use a good diplomat, you can get anywhere from 2000+ for them. Definately a nice little bonus for simply giving city information to another faction.
