It's not a trait.
It means the full statistics of that unit was revealed by a general, captain, spy, watchtower, etc. It has nothing to do with traits.

Got surprised when I opened the screenshot almost same map I have at the moment playing with Germania, except I conquered Palma and Sardinia before entering the Italian boot. From West to East. And i dont have those 3 balkans's towns. Dont know how you got it hehehe.

Germania is the only faction I was able to win the Long Campaign with. This is primarily in part due to the Spear Warbands cutting a beeline to Rome, and then building Chosen Archers from that point onward
