    Default Editing the Military Units RomeTW

    Hi everyone.
    In medieval tw VI
    i had alot of fun editing the units for my own personal satisfaction

    in Rome TW which files do i need to open to edit the units???

    all i want to do is
    1= edit which building is required to build certain units
    2= edit their stats a little bit *make spear units better vs calvary etc etc
    3= perhaps add some of the hard to find units to mercenary hire ques etc
    4= maybe if possible make certain units buildable in certain provinces
    5= maybe add a few units to certian factions

    is there an editor out yet? like the gnome editors from MTW?

    and which files do i need to utilize to edit these units?

    any help you guys can give will be VERY Much appreciated

    there's a mod forum here-don't know the files etc off the top of my head but I think you'll prob find what you want mentioned thread by thread

    1. Its the export_buildings_descr text file you are after, but each unit only requires one specifically high building level to built. i.e. urban cohorts need the barracks level 3 to build. Once you read the file it will be easy to understand what I mean.
    2. Export_units_descr text file is the one you want, all self explanatory
    3. export_mercenary_descr text file if I remember correctly, by region and probability of appearing.
    4. Not known at this time.
    5. If you want to make a unit buildable by a faction, both the export_building and the export_unit files must be edited in tandem. The first to make the building build it, and the second to allow ownership of it. Editing just the export_unit_descr for ownership will allow to bribe and keep but not build the units.

    i was having a hard time finding the files becuase they threw me off with that "export" at the begining

    now i can juice up my game spiff-o-style
