Smile New and Improved Loading Screens for R:TW

    Get it here : http://p4.hostingprod.com/@minerva-v...s-mod-v1.1.zip

Note: I've converted the files into .jpg to make the download easier, so you will have to convert them back into .tga for them to function properly in game. For most of you this will be a snap, but I've still included instructions on how to do this in the README file.

I've created all new loading/splash screens for use with Rome: Total War, using my own personal photographs and images taken from elsewhere to replace the depressing old black & red ones. They have all been heavily modified for use in the game, and coloring has been changed in places for a more 'mediterranean' feel. It's taken me some time to put them all together, but it's been well worth it - the results in many cases have been spectacular, to say the least.

I've been using these for a while now, and they really improve the level of immersion!

Originally I was going to release this as part of a comprehensive mod I was working on, but I decided it would take too long for me to finish the whole mod.. I'd rather just release this instead. Of course I'm posting this message here to see if anyone is actually interested in it! But if someone wants to host this particular mod, or use it as part of their own mod, I'd be happy to oblige.

I'll post a few examples here.. And let the pictures speak for themselves. These pictures largely reflect the Greek and Roman (primarily Roman) world of the 4th century BCE to the 1st century CE - of course there are a few examples that are outside of this time frame, but I've included them anyway just because they were so interesting. Most of the new screens represent battles and soldiers, with a few exceptions.

Very nice- good job : )
Look what these bastards have done to Wales. They've taken our coal, our water, our steel. They buy our homes and live in them for a fortnight every year. What have they given us? Absolutely nothing. We've been exploited, raped, controlled and punished by the English — and that's who you are playing this afternoon Phil Bennett's pre 1977 Rugby match speech
