Default Easter eggs - a list?

    Hi all

I've seen some easter eggs by now (CA seems to love 'em).

I'll write down those I've seen (or think I've seen) and maybe somebody else has some to share.

    1) Domus Dulcis Domus (a northern city) is named "home sweet home" if you translate to latin. I can't take the credit for this one, I read it a couple of days ago on this board.

    2) A maybe. I had an assasin named Kaiserus Sozus or something very similar as the Scipii. I was thinking "Kaiser Soze"...

    3) Just a quick mention - the amazons live in the city to the northeast. Most people already know this I'm sure.

That's all I can think of at this time - does anybody have any more??
Nope - no sig what so ever.

Someone else pointed the build announcement for Aqueducts -
"What have the Romans ever done for us?"
...comes from a Monty Python skit.

On a related note, the Judean Zealot discriptor includes mentions of "Peoples front of Judea" or something, clearly a reference to the life of brian.

You gotta love a team that can work Python references into a game.

I had a Parthian general named either Arse or Arses... can't remember which.

What about the 'Lesbian Rebels?' Or the Yubtseb Elephants? Which, strangely enough, is Best buy spelled backwards?

actually Lesbian rebels were a real group, Greeks from the island of Lesbos. And they were called Lesbians. It got the connotation it has today because one of the earliest writers that had heaps of female homosexuality was from the island of Lesbos (her name was Sapphos)

Is there any real easter eggs, meaning some special unit, special little video clip etc. Sure the stuff mentioned is funny, but not really a "easter egg".....

I'd say the Yubtesb Elephants are, especially since they are brought by the god Gnitekram (Marketing), the god of shining things which people want but dont really need.

More of a developer in-joke, than an Easter Egg that occurs in-game:

In the export_descr_character_traits.txt file which contains all the traits your generals can get (and the factors that influence getting the traits), some of the traits are: "feck", "arse", "drink", "girls" and they can often be found near each other. These are the 4 famous sayings of 'Father Jack' from the excellent sitcom 'Father Ted'. Of course in the game, they're not called that. Feck = Strong language traits; Drink = Drinking traits; Girls = Adultery traits; and Arse = Minion and peverse traits.

    Apologies for the language.

I still live in hope that I'll see a general called "Biggus Dickus". Or at least a "Nortius Maximus"

Arses - they really did use this name in that part of the world. I believe its usage has died out!
