    Default A grand day!

Finally went and bought RTW today, at the same time i bought a new graphic card. I've been meaning to get a new card for a while, and the RTW demo fueled that thought.
    I got myself a Geforce 6800GT 256MB.

It dug a deep hole in my wallet, but after installing RTW with the new graphic card in place it feels much better.
The demo didn't run that good on my old card, but with this card it's another story. Perfectly smooth, and stunning graphics.
It's amazing what a different a card can do, RTW runs much better now than what MTW ever did on my old card!

Now... How to figure out a good explanation for my wife why i just spent over $400 on a toy... Hmm... anyone?

Is it rational, for a citizen of modern day EU to have irrational anger towards:

    French people
    Englishmen
    Germans
    Greeks
    Tracians/Yugoslavs
    etc...?

In MTW the French and the English are always two of my favourite targets, so don't worry about it :-)

    Hahaha...

"I need a new graphic card, the troops on more screen must look more convincing so i can use this game as therapy..."

Somehow i don't think she'd fall for that...

I'm trying to get comfortable with the new style in RTW, compared to MTW, they have changed more than i thought they would. I don't like everything that they did, but i'll give it a couple of days...

Wouldn't she rather have you sitting at home in front of the computer than out drinking with your friends ???

Threaten to purchase a motorcycle ! She will forget all about the money spent on Total War.

My wife, although she is very understanding about it, doesn't understand how I can spend 4 hours sitting at home playing a silly video game. Sometimes I wonder myself... but the Gauls need killin and someones got to do it.

There we have it! THE perfect explanation. I'll blame it all on the Gauls.

    .................
I'll approach her while nervously looking around, take her aside and whisper:

"The Gauls made me do it, they outflanked me outside the store and i had nowhere to go other than inside. My own defense routed, ran across the street and vanished past the red line behind the buildings.

I took a last stand behind the counter, luckily the armorer of the store could sell me a "GiveForce 6800". It saved me, really. I wouldn't be here otherwise.

Now i must keep up the defense against future Gaul-attacks, every day. You should be grateful i'm doing it. If it wasn't for me...
    .................

Sorry...time for my medications i think.
