Default Disabling the Fog of War

JeromeGrasDyke was so kind to tell me how to disable the fog of war on the campaign war. I asked it with the intention of testing out modded campaigns, but I guess some of you are also dying to see the entire map.

Press `, it's in the top left below Esc on most keyboards.

    Type: toggle_fow
For some reason it remembers that you typed `, so you will get `toggle_fow which will not work unless you first delete the '.

    Happy gaming,

The program remembers that you toggled it off. There is no need for doing it twice. Besides that I don't understand your question...

Just try it, then you will understand what I mean.

    let me try this again.
when i like to play the game and see the whole map. The problem with this is at the end of each turn you have to wait 2 min till all factions make their moves. (moves which previously were done in the background because you couldn't see them)
so what i do is, i do toggle_fow once to to see the map
and then do it toggle_fow again to turn the function off.
if i try to to use toggle_fow again it gives me an error, i have to restart RTW inorder to use it again.
my question was => after i use toggle_fow twice, the next time i want to use it i should press "delete" before typing toggle_fow?
can't test it my self as i'm at work, and wont be able to play for a few hours

When you type the "`" you are enabling the "console mode". After that you must type "toggle_fow" for turn Fog of War disabled. When this occurs, the console must disappear i think.( i never use them in this game). Then you must type "`" again for enter in console mode and type "toggle_fow" to re-enable the Fog of War. But if you have an error trying for third time, is probably that the game as a bug or not support a recursive command. Other thing, ¿you disabled the option that says something: See the Computer's movements?. With this optios disabled, the computers no show you the tour over the whole map. Like in MTW.
    Im back!!!

You can only use console commands once each without restarting (well, twice for toggle_fow - once on, once off). Weird but true.

I unlocked fog during my last campaign, and it carried over into my new one. Thought that was a bit odd, but saved me the trouble of having to unlock it again. And as long as you select not to observe the AI, you won't be bothered with watching all of their moves.

If you grow tired of watching all the other faction's moves, then hit the space bar and the moves become almost instantaneos. It sure would be nice to have a speed slider here though. I enjoy watching the wars around me but one speed to way too slow and the other is too fast.

even with the space bar it still takes time. because you have to watch each character move inidvidually
