    does anyone know the japanese for Unity and unified?

    Unify, as to unify, could be 'touitsu', but you might want a second opinion - I'm pretty rusty.

    unity= tan'itsusei(oneness)
    unified=hitotsu ni suru(make a single unit) or hitotsu ni naru(become a single unit)...hope this helps you

    The Japanese phrase for the United States of America is Ga shu koku. But I can't find the root of the word for united (Ga) in my Japanese kanji book.

    It looks pretty straight forward.

    Gaijin! (Ga) Get the hell outa here! (shu) Leave the money on the table! (koku)

    The name originated in the red-lite district of Tokyo (well, that's what I heard!)
