Thread: Eliminating the Senate

    Default Eliminating the Senate

If you eliminate the Senate as a NON-Roman Faction does this stop the Roman Factions from getting new senate missions? IE if as carthage you eliminate the senate before one of the Romans (I think Scipii) gets it's objective of taking Thapsus will they still attack around the same time? or are these efforts scripted?

I have also noticed that the senate will often have a full stack army near the port for Rome but nearly nothing IN Rome so this would make some factions such as Carthage much easier to start out with.

I am pretty sure this is the case, however, i dont have any evidence to back my claim up.

Once you eliminate the senate, logicaly there would be no more senate missions for the 3 roman factions. The ai doesnt do too much anyways, so i dont think it will change gameplay a whole lot.

I think each faction has its on area of interest that they go after regardless of the senate. I've played 3 games now and the ai seems to do mostly the samething evertime. I think the senates just there to keep the human player busy.

I don't expect that AI roman factions get senate missions where you play as a non-Roman faction; I think they just act as normal allied AI's..
