English, Spanish, and a little Arabic. I can also say "That was very foolish, Mr. Bond" in Russian. I'm sure it will come in handy one of these days, if I can just get some sharks with frickin' lasers on their foreheads.
English, formerly conversationally fluent in Spanish though I have forgotten much, and formerly able to read and speak basic Hebrew but that is totally gone.
Can read/write:
Portuguese, french, spanish, italian and english.

English, learning German, took Spanish 1 (hated it) took 4 years of Italian, still remember some, and know 1 phrase in Latin.

A few words, lies... my 4 year old cousin talks fluently as do I. We're both at about the same level when it comes to writing as well. So if you did not grow up there, it is a hell of a strugle to learn. My spoken mandarin is pretty horrible, but my cantonese is ok. Seriously mate, don't try to learn to write chinese unless you wanna spend a lot of time on it.Originally Posted by son of spam

I can read, understand and write English pretty well, and speak it with an awful accent.Studied German for three years but most of it is gone; I can still read most texts with a dictionary though.
Have been studying Arabic ever since, not much advance there...Can understand some sentences in the literal dialect. Same applies to Persian, and Latin in an even lesser degree.
Can speak Kurdish extremely minimal, and read little better than that (in both alphabets). Studies are going on slowly yet steadily.
I'm 90% done with the Greek alphabet and have learnt a lot of words. Still a long way to go.
I can say "Shalom aleikhem" in Hebrew. Really did it!

English, a good bit of Latin, a pathetic amount of German, and am learning Spanish right now and loving it!![]()
Dutch - French - Spanish - English, from mother tongue over fluently to very good to fairly good.
Modern Greek, but it's been ages since I last spoke it so that's now slowly melting away I'm afraid
and some Swedish (very very basic) too.
I try to speak German too, but my level is rather comparable to Jean-Marie Pfaff (dunno if some of you know this guy, was a famous soccer goalkeeper who played for errrr Munich iirc, and his German is laughable, as he always translated Dutch litterally into German).

I used to watch football when I was a kid and Pfaff was one of my favourites. Before retiring, he played in TR for a season or two (in Trabzonspor).
