    Default RomeTW Robust Campaign-Battle Maps...

I dont mean 2 post so much but well...i cant help it lol

i have to bring this topic up because i havent seen a single person mention it yet...

The Campaign map - Battle Map is the most amazing thing possible in a TW game ive ever seen!!!

The BattleMap seems to be completely dependant on your position on the Campaign Map

Example : where ever the ocean is; where ever the mountains are , the forest, the marshes, everything
The Campaign map and the Battle Map PERFECTLY correlate each other!!

    This is Amazing!!!

In medieval TW from what i can tell; the battle maps were randomly generated maps dependant on a few simple factors...
where did you come from and where did you go? and then it make a generic battle map to emulate that

But in ROME TW..... the battle maps emulate the campaign maps in such an amazing way my jaw drops to the floor, crashes thru the earths crust and is melted by the heat of the inner core....lol

its like the Campaign map is a SUPER MASSIVE battlemap...and wherever you fight at, you "Zoom In" on that particular portion of the super huge gigantic map

Ive never seen anything like it

when im looking at the campaign map i dont see a "campaign map" anymore
i see a Gigantic Battle Map

anyone know what im talking about?

This new feature of TW series games is truely a winning revolutionary feature

on the back of the box it says "revolutionary 3d campaign map"
they werent just hyping it up

    This campaign map IS revolutionary!!!
its a HUGE battle map ! just you only fight in a limited portion of it at any givin time!

but from my dozens and dozens of battles
its 100% accurate and perfect rendering of the actual campaign map!!!

the 2 maps are so interlocked and interrelated that i cannoot explain how happy and amazed i am with such sweetness

oh man i need a new pair of shorts !
CA you guys are Amazing! thanks Santa !!!

I must agree - it really was brought home to me when i lifted a julii seige on rome (playing as the greeks) by luring my enemy to cross a ford and decimating them with archers.

    It's fantastic.

I *think* it's just that the campaign map is divided into a (very large) number of squares, and whichever square the units are in when they meet is where the battle takes place. I'm assuming that every map has been pre-generated in loving detail - with a lot of effort!

My question is what they do about increasing the size of settlements (assuming they do) or adding forts if armies build them (I assume the battles take place around the forts).

I guess the only annoying feature about the campaign map is that the rivers are always very angular - but the battle maps more than make up for this with their beautiful meandering :)

Quick question, if I may... In the first battle in the Prologue, it refers to a bridge a number of times. Is there actually a bridge there, or just a ford? If it's the former, I really need a new graphics card!
