    An indice is an index number, or a power. Like 2 squared. I'm assuming Ah Dut wants to use superscript.

    If you want superscript or subscript, just highlight the text, and then go into format>font and check superscript or subscript

    Yup. BKS got it.

    I wish there was an easier way, though. Like say to the computer, "make that to the power of 2" or "H subscript2 O". I was doing chemistry homework in MS Word and it was a PAIN!

    You can add superscript and subscript buttons to the toolbar. On the main menu select view>customise. Select format and then scroll down to superscript. Then you drag the button on to the toolbar.
    We all learn from experience. Unfortunately we don't all learn as much as we should.
