Here is a battle between the Kalmar Union and Spain. The union also has a lot of mercenary units availible that aren't present in thhis battle. I have some problems making a new faction so I've temporarily put the nordic units under the Turks, thus the banners.

Sergeants range ahead out the army, looking for lightly armoured targets (and they soon open fire on the spanish light halberdiers).

Spiwdmenn, the cannonfodder of the Kalmar Union, fight best when they stand immobile in a forest.

The enemy general charge the spearmen but can't break through. While fightig, a group of wepnere (noble cav) have move into a flanking position, and as the spanish bodyguard turn around they get hit the wepnere's charge. A troup of burgherspiwdmæn also throw themselves into the fight.

Almogherytteri (militia cav) charge into the spanish arquebusiers.

The death of the spanish general caused weakened his troos, routing their heavy pikemen which had been sandwiched between burgherspiwdmæn and wechtere. Here they are pursued by the wechtere (regular heavy inf).

Burgherskiwter (shooting) and hakeskytter (the ones hiding with to little armour for their own good, they are cheap firepower but very poor in hand-to-hand and die easily in shooting matches), behind the rest of the troops.

I sent pikenerere to help my cavalry fight the enemy sergeants that attacked them, but my cavalry won before the pikenerere reached them. My pikenerere found some Picas Secas they could fight instead.
    ]

Hakeskytter have closed on the enemy and now support the pikenerere.

The enemy infantry soon routed when met by my unyielding line of spears and pikes and sufering rom withering fire from hakeskytter. My wepnere, together with the wechtere, killed off the last of the enemy cavalry.
    Victory!

Might I suggest that Franc archers should wear much more blue I mean thier clothing.

Btw Gendarmes are really nice will they be as good in fight as well? It should be like it. Would they be available in 1450 as well?

Why do they have their helments opened?

At this point no, though there was a significant amount of talk about doing a Safavid one we did in the end decided not to include them.

The Haiduks are good for balcan states ( Montenegro, Wallachia etc.)or a kind of mercenaries in deep southern Balcan regions, but the real, regular Haiduks should look similar to those

I am sure you have the right ( i.e. better o use) pictures somewhere anyway.

Your Haiduks look too late for our mod, however I think Yggdrasill can reply you better than me.

They are from around 1569, but your are too, I think, but the difference is that Haiduks in the form you have posted didn't appear in Polish armies at all, and in Hungarian forces they were rather very rare, if at all - they look like balcan bandits from Serbia, Wallachia or something like this...
Your units are usually good, sometimes very good, but this is a mistake which should be corrected, especially since it is for Poland and I can't ignore mistakes made in 'my' ( ) period.

    Regards cegorach

    Cegorach

The only regular Haiduks that I am aware of are those from poland. As far as I know, Erdely (Transylvannia) also featured some Haiduk, but I have no pictures that directly portray them, only indirect ones, via Poland (Bathory).

So these Haiduks I guess are best suited only for the sort of irregular warfare of the Ottoman-Hungarian border. Which does put us in teh spot regarding Poland, but we'll figure something out, don't worry. Besides, we are now considering RTW edition of the Citadel as a sort of practice run for the real thing (MTW 2 edition of the Citadel, where we shall use teh raw material from MTW2 as well as our own unique units to fill the gaps).

Shark - regarding description for Haiduks

The description is in part OK, but in part not. First of all, we should shorten it a bit, by deleting some of the surplus text. Also, one gets the feeling as if Haiduks existed only in Serbia, and this is not so - they were a regional phenomenon. We should also mention one thing that Cegorach has pointed out, that Haiduks were also used in the 1570-1630 period, in Poland, as regular salaried infantry, fighting in liear fashion, only without pikes.
