    Default RTW: black screenshots

When I open a tga with PSP I only get a black image. This 'bug' seems to affect quite some people.

At the com forum I just found 2 workarounds

    a) disabling AA
    b) using FRAPS

    I haven't tried it yet.
Does it work or are there other solutions?

It must be the Overlay of your video card. Try this: playa movie in many players, and try to catch some screenshots. If you can't see anything, then go to advanced options of your vga card, and here look for a option called Overlay controls, or something similar. Adjust this controls and try , try , try.
I have the same problem, and i solve with this controls.
Ah, i forgot something, reinstall directx and the drivers of your video card.
You have an nVidia card? ?
This cards has this type of problems, because a standard configuration from the maker.

AA is known to black out the TGAs, so try turning that off.

If you really want it on, and dont want to install FRAPS, you can just alt tab into your favourite picture editor (even paint will do) and just pasteing it there , as print-screen will copy wah ever is on your screen into the clipboard as well.

But I recommend FRAPS, its handy, small and as well as pictures, can do movies!

    Thanks for the info.

I have an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. It didn't work with the 4.9 drivers. Yesterday I installed the latest 4.10 driver and it still doesn't work. Now even the media player is porked, only sound, no movie. I think I go back to 4.9 and play around with those overlay controls tonight
    Hope it helps.

Paint Shop Pro has a multiple screen capture facility that can run in the background and uses a hotkey that you assign yourself. In the program you can find the utility under File/Import/Screen Capture - set it to Capture Now after you have assigned the key and the program minimises itself to your taskbar and runs in the background.

One more thing I didn't know about PSP, thanks Marcher Lord.
