    I would like to add something also. Please correct the curved scimitar. The scimitar was only invented shortly before the early Muslim expansion (circa 600AD). Numidians, Berbers, Bedouins and Arabs used straight medium length swords in this age. You can see exactly that in the pictures you've posted in the Numidian thread.
