Thread: Best Multiplayer General?

    Default Best Multiplayer General?

I've recently made the switch from single player to multiplayer and am having trouble determining a general. I play England mostly, and could use some help. I've only won twice (non-Viking Age), with a Knight Templar at the helm. My other main choice is Chivalric Knights. What do you guys use and why?

Gothic or lancers are strongest cav in late, and chivlric/order knights(besides templar) are best in high. It would probably be best for you to use a strong cav as a beginner, but when you get more experienced you'll find your money is better spent on other troops.

Elkwyn, I hear talks of Vikings and such and using the English. Are you talking about the Britons. Well I'm thinking your not as Vikings were'nt around during that time period. So what is this old game you are playing.

Why are you so worried about your general. I have sometimes used mounted skirmishers for a general and unless the enemy had Allan mercanaries there is not much they can do about your general. I've even seen some people use hobilars for a general while the rest of there units were elite units.

I've never worried about my general and sometimes used him as the bait. But usually my general is one of the last units to engage, maybe you are using him too early. Also I do'nt spen much money on my general as I want the other troops to the work
When a fox kills your chickens, do you kill the pigs for seeing what happened? No you go out and hunt the fox.
