1) Is there any need for the 1.1 patch if you don't do multiplayer? (There's so little update info released with it!)
2) Any news on when the next patch will be out?

1) No. I haven't noticed any difference.
2) It's coming.....
1) "Elephant units in the game have been tweaked to make them less overpowering." - from the patch readme.
2) A CA staff member has said that "it will be the near future". See here and look for Granville69.

I'd get it just for reduced elephants...
OT: bmolsson, are you the same peson as on languish?

Get the patch, as elephant units are very overpowering without it, (but still that way post patch!)

I think that in the patch/expansion you should be able to use diplomats to tell neutral armies to bugger off out of your lands. It drives me mad when they come in without permission...

Here, here! I'm fed up with being told to "get orf my land" whilst having their own armies on mine. I now automatically class that as taking the p*ss and attack their army.Originally Posted by Silver Rusher
The one that really gets me, is I've made an alliance with a faction. They have troops taking scenic tours through my lands. I send a diplomat to my ally, and since the option of "get the hell out" isn't on the list, I politely offer him military access, for a hefty payment. I get this indignant response "We have no intention of marching through your lands". YOU'VE GOT THREE ARMIES THERE NOW, MORON! Then I get a transgression message if I bribe them away. Makes me want to just declare war on the fool.

lol quillian, thats happened to me many times. WHY! should the ai be able to tell u to get out of their land but you are not given the same option!
"I'm the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world."
Aye to that Quillan and it's even worse when they block your way in or out of cities or narrow passes. As the Julii I had 5 Brutii armies camping outside my capital's walls as if they were laying siege, only they weren't. Couldn't move units in or out, tried bribing them but their prices were simply ofensive and when I tried to do some hostile negotiations with them a window popped up saying I didn't have enough support from the people to start a civil war.Originally Posted by Quillan

It is not the allied faction that wants you out, it is the senate that sends the "leave or else..." message. As soon as you declare war to the senate, you stop getting this message and you can freely pass through allied territory (at least in my games so far...)Originally Posted by Jango Fett

Often the best way to "discourage" a trespassing army is to move a much larger army right up to it and leave it there... The trespassers normally leave, or if they are feeling suicidal they will attack.

Yeah, It pisses me off to no end when Britain keeps landing on the french coast for no reason or when the Brutii decides to march their huge armies all the way around the Adriatic to Greece instead of a 1/2 turn hop across it, blocking my way as the Julii.
