Does anybody know how to use the "create unit cheat "as this would be a ideal solution to the lack of First Cohorts being delivered by the senate? I can't seem to get it to work!

I don't know how to do that, no, but I just added a couple of lines in the export_descr_buildings.txt file to allow me to build first cohorts myself.

I don't see anything at all wrong with altering the stats to allow the recruitment of first cohorts. It's more a mod. Besides, it gives that option to all Roman factions--even if you happen to be playing the Germans at the time.

Thanks for your help athough it may be a good idea to have a list of cheats that actually work with out modding the game!

What about adding population? I'm recruiting so much in my desperate war vs. the Romans, that my Spartan Empire is running short of men! I need some freaking population! And then so I can upgrade my cities so I can make the Spartan Hoplites, which will be the weapon that turns the tide of the war.
