No Corpses show up

I've been playing the Shogun mod for MTW lately and i've noticed no corpses show up on the battlefield. I've heard that this has something to do with the deadpage file but I can't remember if theres a way to fix this.

Any insight will help.

Hi,
I think that it is necessary that all the units of the game (MTW, VI and mod) appear in the deadpag file.
So you need to paste the coords for the new units below the end in the original file (last entry is WelshBandits, I think).

That won't do it. I'm making a mod myself, and all the new units' corpses don't appear on the battlefield. And I did include them in deadpage coords

Maybe more experienced modders can help you. But I'm afraid this forum is quite dead, so it might take a while before you get an answer.

all I had to do was copy the deadpage from the zip into the directory and overwrite right?

I registered on these forums just to say thanks, I can finally see the dead in my mod, everything works great, just keep the order constant between the unit_prod file and deadpagecoords and you too can see dead people.

not quite

(from the readme file in the archive)

when you make a mod Ensure you BEGIN with a copy of
CRUSADERS_UNIT_PROD11.TXT

(IF YOU HAVE ANY TROUBLES with bodies not showing
try adding the Viking invasion units to CRUSADERS_UNIT_PROD11.TXT)

In either case

add ALL new units to the END of the copy and rename the copy for your mod
do not remove any original units from the renamed file


NOW add your units name to this file
Medieval - Total War\Textures\Men\DEADPAGE COORDS.TXT
!!(from my zip, NOT the one that came with the game)!!

pick a suitable unit type to provide the body and copy that units types co-ordinates under your unit name

dead should now appear

AND

just keep the order constant between the unit_prod file and deadpagecoords and you too can see dead people.
