This rifle is a different caliber, but it's pretty much the exact same thing. Mine had a much heavier duty bipod. That springy giggly little thing is a Harris. Mine was a Parker-Hale. The same sort used on the Bren Gun. Very heavy, very solid.

Oh, the action was a modified Remington 700. The actions are custom built by McMillan to much finer tolerances and they use more steel in the extractor, which was a (some say mythical) weakness of the R700 action. The barrel was a 24" Match Grade stainless steel barrel. The whole thing came in a Pelican case and weighed a ton. The rifle, case, and a few extras ran about $4000 US ten years ago. Had to leave a deposit and wait SIX MONTHS for the rifle. It was a veeeeeery long wait.
One of my buddies christened it "The Killer Gun From Hell".![]()
