    Exclamation Help!!!!!!!!

Ok, here's the lowdown. I went out and purchased Rome: TW a few days ago. I installed it, and it runs fine, for about 5-10 min . It then freezes on me. I've checked the requirements on it, and my computer can handle it, or so it would seem . If any one has any suggestions, plz let me know, this is hindering me from excuiting my plan for taking over the world

Hard to say w/o any system specs or history of how your system performs.
All I can think of from that description is: do you have appropriate drivers? do you have the proper version of dx9? what (if anything) do you run in the background...virus scanner/update programs/fax...etc.

If you have the Demo installed delete it and then reinstall Rome:TW. I have read in other posts that the Demo version can cause problems. Not sure if it's true, but worth a shot.

    G'day Narib!

My experience with lock ups is that they are usually caused by one of 3 things...

1-System deficiencies...RAM, sound or graphics cards...update the drivers if possible!

    2-Temperature issues...are you overclocked?

3-Software conflicts...virus software and other applications running in the background.

Try posting your DXDiag and system specs...here be geeks

If you are running xp sp2, then you MUST update your drivers to play.
I found this out the hard way with several other games. I know you need Nvidia 61.53 but i'm not sure about ati....
